Job Description/Objectives:
Because the build of an IS Competence Center in Brussels the application scope of the EDM team is expanding.

Within the EDM team for Europe, the Senior EDM Analyst will play an important role working on a variety of Business Intelligence and Data warehousing systems. The main work will be in the EuDW and SAP2GO environment, but also all other applications managed by this team are in scope. E.g. the financial data warehouse for retail and the marketing databases. Working as a member of a European Shared Services Team, the position will report to the EDM Team Lead.

 

This will be a ‘hands on’ role requiring excellent technical and functional skills and a good knowledge of the business.  Next to managing small to medium sized projects and displaying excellent organizational and communication skills, the Senior EDM Analyst is a good analyst with a results orientated focus.

 

This role will focus on the functional aspects of the datawarehouse so business analyst experience and experience with functional work on datawarehouses is required.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the evolution of Staples Systems Strategy through observation of trends in use on the EDM systems and communicating recommendations to Senior Managers.

Qualification/Requirements:
Essential

  • Master degree in computer science, business administration, operations engineering or related field.
  • Min. 5 years experience in a Business Analyst role with a focus on Data Warehousing
  • Focus on IS systems; BI experience is a must with systems like Oracle, MS SQL, Business Objects, ETL tools like Powercenter, BW environment. Furthermore: Excel, Access, Visio, and other productivity tools.
  • Good understanding of business processes, preferably in a Retail, Delivery of Contract environment

En tant qu’Application Leader dans le domaine du prêt (Lending), vous êtes responsable de la gestion d’une ou plusieurs applications de crédit. Vous avez 1 à 15 personnes sous votre autorité directe et vous êtes rattaché au senior management du département.

Ce que vous serez amené à faire

- Assurer la continuité et la cohésion de la maintenance des applications relevant de votre

responsabilité: c’est-à-dire, entre autres, la résolution technique d’incidents, la gestion du cycle de vie de l’application, la gestion de la mise en production de l’application et le suivi des modifications apportées à l’application.

Le Solution Delivery Centre General Lending Belgium fait partie de notre département IT. Cette entité assiste ses clients internes tant au niveau du support que de la maintenance et des nouveaux développements des applications concernées. Elle contribue de la sorte à maintenir la position concurrentielle de ses clients. Ces derniers sont actifs tant dans le secteur du retail (prêts hypothécaires, prêts à la consommation, …) que du wholesale (avances à court terme, prêts à taux révisable) ainsi que dans le domaine du risque (gestion des défauts de paiement, prise de décision, …), créant ainsi un environnement riche et stimulant.

Votre profil

Connaissances et expériences

- Vous détenez un Master, de préférence dans une orientation informatique, ou vous avez une expérience équivalente

- Vous avez 5 à 10 ans d’expérience dans l’IT, par exemple dans une fonction d’application administrator ou de technical analyst

- Vous avez au moins deux ans d’expérience en tant que Team Manager

- Vous possédez une connaissance orale et écrite de l’anglais, du néerlandais et du français (indispensable en tant que Team Manager)

Les éléments suivants constituent un plus :

- Expérience dans le secteur bancaire, et dans le lending en particulier.
