Translate Business requirements into technical documents, solutions.

Requirements:

You have a good knowledge of physical database design and BI concepts.
You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Datawarehouse environment with large volumes of data.
You have an in-deep expertise of BOXI and Informatica.
The Bteq scripting language and the different Teradata loading utilities have no secrets for you.
You are able to work with mixed OS environments Linux, Unix & Windows.

THE JOB:

 

Your main responsibility is to maintain and improve the IT infrastructure (production and non production) together with your colleagues. You have to make sure that our payment platform keeps up on availability, manageability and performance despite of the continuously increasing business requirements and growth.

 

After an internal training period about our products and services, you will be a System Engineer allowing you to:

- Be in charge of the monitoring and maintenance of our complete infrastructure (switching, routing, firewalls, servers …).

- Be able to identify which latest trends and technologies might have a fit with our environment and its requirements.

- Empower standardization in our environment and perform automation of operational tasks where possible.

- Take the availability, integrity, security & recoverability of Client’s infrastructure as a personal objective, assure it is compliant with our business requirements and SLA and propose solutions/evolutions to improve this objective.

- Perform projects related to our environment with a focus on increasing performance, availability and scalability of our infrastructure.

- Monitor security and system events and take appropriate action in case of incidents including taking part in the off-hours monitoring rotation of our environment

- Provide reporting (daily/monthly/yearly) on our infrastructure performance and are able to perform proactive trend-analysis and growth forecasting based on indicators given by your management

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

For this challenging IT function, we need a talented and passionate System Engineer whose curiosity for technology drives him to polyvalence.

 

  • Higher education in IT/Engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Very good bilingual (French & English), knowledge of Dutch and German are assets
  • Mature and accountable
  • At least 5 years of experience with at least 3 years in management of an IT infrastructure in a mission critical environment with 24/7/365.
  • A proven experience in at least 4 or more of the following areas:

Mission

The department Customer Follow Up leads 3 main activities: Business Intelligence, CRM and Customer Intelligence.
The request for business intelligence is hugely growing.  Therefore we recently implemented the SAS technology with a new SAS Portal as a result.
We are looking for someone to help us developing and maintaining this dashboard portal.
Later this person would be implied in the other missions of the CFU (CRM, CI).

Jobdescription

  • Develop and manage our new SAS Portal ;
  • Ad-hoc data querying (mostly portfolio oriented) ;
  • Provide simple to more complex data analysis to other internal departments.

Profile

  • Commercial engineer, Master in Economics or similar ;
  • Data querying experience is a must (MS ACCESS, SQL SERVER, SAS,…) ;
  • A first experience in a similar function is a plus but not a must ;
  • Interest and good knowledge/understanding of the banking sector/products ;
